Sunday Morning Community Soul Time and Meditation offers an intentional space to come and savor spiritual practice and meditation. Each week a different Wild Lotus teacher guides a 30 minute experience followed by a period of 20-30 minutes of quiet meditation. Practices include: visualization, readings, chanting, stories, dance, breathing, artwork, journaling, philosophy, and more. By donation. All donations given to a different charity each month.

The Ojai Yoga Crib is a sweet festival of yoga and a yoga pilgrimage. Built on the rich Spiritual Tradition of the Ojai Valley, the yoga sessions, meditations, and evening events take place in some of the most historically significant and sacred spots in the Valley. 2009 teachers included Sarah Powers, Sean Johnson, Jill Miller and Chandra Easton, Uma Goswami, Saul David Raye, Patricia Sullivan, Jason Crandell, Katchie Ananda, Laura Tyree and Erich Schiffmann. 2010 lineup to be announced soon.

This spectacular Halloween night festival celebrates its third year at the corner of St. Roch and St. Claude Streets, and will introduce to New Orleans and the world one of the most impressive economic development and cultural revitalization projects to launch since Hurricane Katrina: the New Orleans Healing Center, currently under construction and scheduled to open in early 2011.
The New Orleans Healing Center and La Source Ancienne Ounfo host the festival on site of their new community-based cultural arts and healing center.
New Orleanians and art enthusiasts are invited to an evening of unparalleled entertainment. Included in this unique Halloween night event will be live performances, all taking place at the future site of the Center.
Previous year's performers included: John Mooney, Stanton Moore of Galactic, Sean Johnson and The Wild Lotus Band, Coco Robichaux, Kerry Brown, the 101 Runners with Mardi Gras Indians, Kora Konnection, Michael Skinkus and Moyuba, the Reggae Revelers, Shades of Praise, 9 Ghosts. Joining in the gala celebration are costumed dancers, acrobats, fire dancers, a costumed street parade of Radical Faeries, and live art projects. 2011 performers will be announced soon
Conceived by visionary New Orleanians Pres Kabacoff, Sallie Ann Glassman, Andy Antippas, Christophor Faust, Deborah Daigle, Jim Drury, Sharon Singleton, Robert Asistent, and Sean Johnson, the founding members of the center forward the concept of rebuilding New Orleans by re-invigorating the Bywater, Marigny, and St. Claude neighborhoods through the creation of the New Orleans Healing Center. In addition to the planned Complementary and Alternative Medicine treatment clinic, the Healing Center will be a massive collective space that teaches sustainable living practices such as solar energy technology and green building in a multi-classroom Street University which also includes instructional classes in dozens of fields; offers yoga and meditation by Wild Lotus Yoga; a women’s resource center; and a performance hall. All of these activities will co-join with the Street University’s instruction model to fully complement its outreach to include working families, artists and those seeking to further their daily living, skills and financial empowerment. Plans for the first floor include The New Orleans Food Co-Op Grocery Store, health food restaurant, internet café and coffee house, and arts and crafts booths opening onto the street lending the feel of a street bizarre.
ANBA DLO translates as “from under the waters” refers to the place where departed souls dwell and from whence they are called on All Hallow’s Eve. This evening has been specially named as a call to New Orleanians and our city’s Prospect.1 visitors to come join in celebration of our cultural rebirth during one of the premiere Halloween events ever to be held in New Orleans.

Bhakti Yoga, Kirtan-Training, and Soul Celebration In The Heart Of New Orleans
Want to enhance your connection to Life through Bhakti yoga and kirtan? This 7 Day Intensive is for anyone who wants to steep in bhakti- the yoga of the heart; for yogis who are seeking to deepen their practice; yoga teachers who want to learn how to share more singing and bhakti in classes; and people who are interested in learning more about the art and practice of playing kirtan music. The week opens with a full-on kirtan celebration with Sean and the Wild Lotus Band playing in their own backyard. The week continues with ecstatic interactive chanting, dancing, storytelling, mythology, bhaktiful asana practice with live music, journaling, and mystical poetry. Options include: chanting and basic harmonium lessons with Sean; rhythm and drumming workshops with Gwendolyn; guitar-for-kirtan and music workshops with Alvin; an exploration of the archetypes of gods and goddesses, guidance on how to bring more bhakti into your life, practice and teaching; garden party; live local music; and more surprises in the soulful and magical city of New Orleans. Includes a informative handbook with bhakti and kirtan resources. The final night of the BhaktIMMERSION was timed to coincide with the first Mardi Gras parade of the season, Krewe du Vieux, an opportunity to celebrate our week together amidst the music and joy of carnival.
